Duck, Little Brother. Duck! - Don’t Take Our Filth Away (Clear w/ black Splatter /100)
If you were to ask to me to clump this wonderful band in to a genre, my only answer would be “fucking insanity.” This band is a relatively new discovery, via a free download from Topshelf Records. The second I heard they were releasing a new album on topsehlf I pre-orderd the shit out of it. This is very clearly a band that puts as much thought in to their instrumentals as they do their vocals/lyrics. Its like all the parts coming together are another life form.
Topshelf NEVER disappoints with their packaging, or variants. Being huge fans of vinyl themselves, they know what us collectors want. A quality jacket, with a full color insert makes it clear that they dropped some cash into this pressing, and aren’t in the game to make a quick buck; but I suppose if you get in to pressing vinyl to make money, you are just kidding yourself. Every spin of this ( at east 5 times in the last three days) is an out of body experience. So thanks DLBD and Topshelf for producing some quality records.

Prawn just got back back from their EU / UK tour and are getting ready to hit the road again with Calculator. Their new EP LP Ships is still up for pre-order on our store, though — an update on this one: it’s been delayed significantly due to some issues with the audio on vinyl not sounding as good as we want it to — with the band having been overseas, for over a month, troubleshooting this has been a slower than normal process. We’ll keep you posted.

Long out of print, My Heart to Joy’s Reasons to Be is the last hurrah of one of the most essential bands in our brief catalog. We’ve put in a re-press for the 7” and expect to have it in over the next month. Pre-order it here.
