Unwanted opinion trigger warning: I don't think you should worry about the leak, because honestly, most of the people who are/were excited as fuck about the leak will most likely end up buying physical copies of the album, for two reasons: 1) They love the shit out of TWIAP 2) Much like Enemies List is doing, people have developed a love for your label and your ethos because of you offering cool, quality products, and that is why people support you/will continue to support you.

Sure, I hear that and get where you’re coming from. But what about the big media outlet we might’ve paired with to premiere a song that exposed the band to many new fans? Self Defense Family — as they are wont to do — put it more eloquently than I can.

I appreciate and am humbled by your words, but all the same, there are real reasons bands and labels will sit on a record for awhile before releasing it. There’s a lot of behind the scenes at play.

It’s out there now and we’re all collectively thrilled with / blown away by the response but the mystery is gone. We’re relying on people to organically spread the word and share it for its own merits rather than have press and media outlets tell them it’s good. Which I obviously prefer any day, of course, purely on principle — but if I’ve learned anything in my life, it’s that even well intentioned people are wholly unreliable. The mix of press / media hoopla and person-to-person organic sharing you get from delaying a record’s availability until release date, though, is invaluable to a band and label and we have now lost some of that.

It’s not a death sentence, obviously, but we’re dealing with it the best we can.

Into It. Over It. playing the Topshelf Records warehouse generator party at Fest 11 in Gainesville, FL. It was shut down by the cops shortly after. There’s video of it here.

I doubt it very much, but do you think The World Is... will have vinyl copies of whenever, if ever at bledfest this year? Its basically next week so probably not, but worth the ask.

Unfortunately, no. We’re getting a lot of questions like this right now. To clarify: please consider that this record wasn’t supposed to be public until June 18, 2013 so we aren’t prepared to send people their downloads or records or really anything at all at the moment (though I’m doing what I can to try and get digital downloads to people who pre-ordered today but in the meantime, there’s this). The record exists only digitally at the moment and this’ll continue to be the case well into June. Thanks!
