We’re really excited to announce that we’ll be releasing a split between two of our favorite bands. The split will feature a track from each band and will be available digitally and physically as a 7” record later this spring.

Weatherbox has been in constant rotation for us for the better part of the last decade and are, in my opinion, one of the most talented and supremely underrated bands going (do yourself a favor). Their track, titled “Big News”, was recorded on October 5, 2012 at Audio Design Studios in San Diego, CA — and recorded, mixed & mastered by Ben Moore. Sainthood Reps seemingly came out of nowhere a few years ago and blew us away with the release of Monoculture. They’ve become good friends of ours since and a band that’s been really fun to watch grow. Their track “Deadlines” was recorded at MXXTRXX in Cresco, PA in December 2012, engineered and recorded by Bradley Cordaro (with assistant engineering by Chris Russell and Ryan Sadis) and mixed by Will Yip and Vince Ratti.

The pairing of the two for a split made a lot of sense to us both sonically / stylistically and considering that they recently toured pretty extensively together. We’ll have more details on it soon — for now, though, be sure to follow both bands on Facebook and junk.
